Customer Reviews about A.T.L. Psychotherapy & Consulting Services
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪This is in regards to Dr.Kanika Bell. Make sure you record her conversation if you go into therapy with her. This is urgent. If you have anything to do with child custody or any type of formal evaluation, RECORD THE CONVERSATION. I am telling you, she will lie. And throw you under the bus. The courts will believe the psychologist over the patient with no doubt. I cannot stress enough, to record the conversation. This "doctor" took my money ($1,000). Told me repeatedly she did not need my past records and did not need me to sign a medical release because her evaluation is based on current fitness. My records at the time were 2+ years old. All of her evaluation questions state repeatedly "within the past 6 months have you felt....". Her evaluation was based on the past 6 months. But when the guardian ad litem spoke to her, she had the AUDACITY to state she could not give a true diagnosis without looking into my entire record. Again, SHE told ME that she does not need me to sign any releases and she does not need to see my old records since they are old. She then changed my diagnosis WITHOUT notifying me as a patient. She gave the new diagnosis to the guardian ad litem along with new recommendations. I was never notified. I even asked what their conversation consisted of the next day or so which would have been the perfect opportunity for her to give a heads up that my entire diagnosis changed along with new recommendations. She ignored my email. You guys, I found out about a new diagnosis with new recommendations sitting in court. I did not hear my diagnosis from my "doctor" who diagnosed me. The courts said I was a liar, I was evasive, ordered me to see doctors outside of my psychiatric network because I am a "liar", all because this "doctor" lied in regards to my medical records. How easy it could have been for her to say her to tell the courts what she told me, that her evaluation is on current fitness and that alone. Also, the judge was furious that I was not following the recommendations that I did not know changed. How can I follow recommendations that the "doctor" failed to deliver? Has she offered to refund my money? No. I brought this to her attention many times on email in which she claimed she would speak to the guardian ad litem. Did she do so? No. I am disgusted with this doctor and it is because of doctors like her that people do not open up to psychiatrists/psychologists. How can you help patients but throw them under the bus as well? If you see her, record the conversation. Safeguard youself, because she is not for you. She is for protecting herself. Do the same. Record your conversation.June 29, 2017by Cicely Byrd
