  Our experience at Georgia Urology is one I hope other parents can avoid. When a provider specializes in Pediatric Urology, one would hope that person understands the sensitivity involved especially as it pertains to the patient being someone's child. The physician our child was evaluated by lacked sensitivity, respect for our rights as parents and the ability to treat our child as someone she cared for and rather, I believe that the physician saw our child as just another billable hour. Specifically, after being given a diagnosis and told our child would need surgery, naturally, as parents we had many questions. Instead of answering our questions with the understanding that we are concerned parents, shoulders were shrugged and eyes were rolled as we were rudely told "You're not going to remember this anyways!" We also did not receive a warm greeting upon entrance which was the start of what turned out to be a bad experience. I'm only rating this location as a "2" because I do believe the physician is very knowledgeable in the field of pediatric urology...maybe she just shouldn't have chosen to work with children. I reached out in an attempt to offer feedback and two weeks later, I'm sad to report no one has returned my call. I feel empowered as a parent to have spoken with our child's primary care physician who, after my report, will likely think twice about referring any additional patients.
